Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 of 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordinand at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix realized early on that she had a talent to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed 2nd in the 200 meter event in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. She then attended the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic prize at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s which set a new junior world record. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. She defended that title, beating her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top three in all of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
