Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix realized early on that she had an aptitude in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition and placing in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003, signed the sports contract with Adidas. She then was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. The first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics held which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by running 200m in 22.18 seconds. The youngest to win the 200-meter race during the World Championships that took place in Helsinki in the year 2005. She defended her title once again in 2007, defeating time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three of her competitions.
